and student
- consult with current and past teachers to
become knowledgeable about the student's
learning style and academic history
- administer additional educational
assessments when advisable
Match student with
program
- conduct research to develop a realistic list
of schools tailored to the student's abilities,
interests, and needs
- consult with schools, sending relevant
records and a unique student profile
- establish a schedule of appointments to
visit schools
Application
- provide guidance with applications,
including critical review of student essays
- prepare the student for the interview and
visit
- assist with making the final school
choice
Follow-up
- monitor student's progress during the first
year of placement
